Teacher 1 believes that most textbooks for TCFL are not very good. However, she recommends the “Road to Success” textbook series. The topics are very practical.
She uses her own supplementary teaching materials to support her TCFL classes. For example, pictures, which she uploads to her iPad to show her students. Such preparation is time consuming, but once you make these materials you can keep them and use them again.
Teacher 1 recommends the Han Ban website for teaching Chinese resources.
T1 believes that if you plan to live and work in China, learning Chinese characters is very important.
T1 may use English when teaching students with a low level of Chinese.

这位汉语老师认为大部分的汉语教材都不太好。但是， “成功之路” 是一套比较好地教汉语教材。所有的话题都比较实用。
她在课堂上用自己准备的材料，例如，她在iPad上下载一些图片给学生看。这些准备会需要一些时间，但是准备过一次之后，就可以保存它们，下一次还可以使用。
