Just completed an excellent free course with Open2Study

Open2Study is a platform that provides a mix of free and paid-for, accredited and non-accredited online courses. O2S is backed by Open Universities Australia (OUA).

The excellent free online course – Teaching Adult Learners – with a focus on Online Teaching, is a balanced mix of theoretical and practical advice for setting up an online course for adults, which can also be transferred to the offline environment.

The highlights for me include learning about Gordon’s Skill Development Model, the Tribes Learning Community Tribes Agreement, the Placemat & Values Chain instructional tactics as well as Madeline Hunter’s Lesson Design concept.

If I have the opporuntunity to develop offline or online Teacher Training in the future, I will be sure to incorporate some of the methods and techniques advised in this course.
