It’s the end of Week 1, and nothing has gone as expected. Personal issues abound, and the immediate reaction is to question the logic of my initial study schedule (Morning – Chinese, FX Trading Practice & Non-DTLT blog stuff, Afternoon – DTLT). I know I am a morning person, and therefore Priority 1 is to do my best work in the early hours, and it is at that time I should be focusing on my Masters studies.
Priority 2 relates to being more succinct using sophisticated language, and each paragraph must have analysis. Ideally, I should draw some conclusions and/or make recommendations.
Priority 3 focuses on time management with health in mind. More specifically, my back. I’m quite fit, but experienced lower back pain just 6 weeks ago. All serious exercise was ‘totally forbidden’, leaving me with walking, swimming and (upright) cycling. In a nutshell, I’m worried that as I try to spend more time away from the computer (health), I actually need to spend more time in front of it (studies). However, with careful planning, I hope to minimise my ‘Google Time*’ and focus entirely on the tasks at hand.
*Google Time – time spent aimlessly looking up random trivia on Google, just because you can
