Way back when a friend introduced me to two sketching apps – Bamboo Paper and Paper 53. I promptly downloaded them and even did a bit of a test with Bamboo Paper. And then…nothing! Until I attended a Sketching Professional Starter Workshop led by Martin Barnes of Mountains of Imagination last month. He shared with us the basic ‘visual alphabet’ of sketching and other insider tips, the main one being: practice, practice, practice! It was nice to learn in a small group, and be encouraged to sketch with your finger, rather than a pen (which always runs out of power anyway, right?!) The plan with this is to create my own original sketches for my blog posts as well as making original material for my lessons.
Please find some of my ‘art’ embedded in the interactive thinglink image above. Please hover of the photo icons and my art will be revealed! The background image is actually my ‘digital badge‘ of participation, and I look forward to sketching more and collecting badges of achievement in the near future.
