Wanting to explore more colourful ways of putting my ideas on paper, a few months back I joined a beginners Sketching workshop led by Martin Barnes of Mountains of Imagination. During the month of June, Martin is leading a challenge to get all those interested, sketching on a regular basis. The aim is to build the habit of sketching for at least 5 minutes every day. And Martin provides a simple daily brief as a source of inspiration.
As every good digital learner knows, not only does practising regularly help towards improving your skills, but publishing to a real audience increases discipline and motivation as you take pride in showcasing your work. That said, here is what I came up with during the first 3 days.
I hope you enjoy this first batch – more to come!
Brilliant – great post and awesome to read your pov – looking forward to the first day of July so look back on all the progress
Me, too! Can’t wait to look back and reflect on all the learning that will happen this month!
Hey Karina,
I’m loving your work, and finding myself stretching in ways I’m not so used to stretching through this daily sketching challenge. In your next post, I’d love to hear more about how you feel and how you see yourself changing through the habit of daily sketching.
MCK
Thanks, MCK! More sketching and reflections coming soon!
