Yesterday, I was forwarded a questionnaire for anyone interested in high quality Chinese language classes for professionals in Beijing:

Why would this school ask about this topic now? Well, it seems currently private language schools are in a transition period, moving from teacher-centred to student-centred learning. And perhaps the content of most university courses is more “student” or “young adult” focused. It is clear that there is a gap in the market for the provision of language classes to highly motivated adult professionals, who prefer a more communicative, student-centred environment. I’ll be keeping an eye on the results of the Middlebury survey.
