LTMOOC: Week 5 – Design and Create an Open-Ended Assignment

This week’s tasks included:

– working on our Instreamia lessons (that’s both English and Chinese for me), including adding flashcard exercises

– Adding a grammar explanation to our lessons

– Designing and creating an open-ended assignment (see sample assessment in previous post)

– Grading and example open-ended assignment

– Listen to an interview with Daniela Schiano di Cola, Project Coordinator for Diplomatic Language Services.

Daniela is an instructional designer for foreign language textbooks and interactive online activities. She has worked primarily with government contracts for language materials, and has experience developing activities for seven languages alongside subject matter experts. She has worked with interactive online blended learning courses, and has been the point person for a team of content developers.
