Here I am testing the capabilities of ThingLink – a digital tool that adds an interactive layer to any photo or video. Hover your mouse over one of the embedded icons/white circles and you will gain access to additional information in the form of text, image, audio and/or video. ThingLink tool has great appeal for visual learners, like myself. I feel immediately attracted to this tool for its focus on visual stimuli, its creativity and interaction. Users can add commentary, questions, videos and links to an image, making the interaction more absorbing. These additions provide scaffolding to support the comprehension of the image content. There is an option to add thing links to actual videos, too. I hope to use this tool to engage my students at the beginning of next term.

ThingLink Basic Education account is free, and provides access to a basic audio and video tagging tool. And a teacher may add up to 100 students to his/her account. Whereas ThingLink Edu Premium costs $35 annually, providing access to an advanced audio and visual tool, with lots of additional features.
